Shelly Griswold: Registrar

Shelly has been a member of the San Carlos community for over 33 years. She attended Patrick Henry High School and graduated from San Diego State University. Shelly worked as a Legal Assistant for the County of San Diego for approximately seven years, and has been a stay-at-home mom since 1991.

Over the past 16 years, Shelly’s children have been involved in both recreation and competitive sports including Navajo Softball, Mission Trails Little League and Patrick Henry High School Soccer and Field Hockey. She has been an executive board member for Patrick Henry’s Women's Field Hockey Boosters. Shelly brings a breadth and depth of volunteer experience to our board that is extremely valuable.

Shelly’s children have attended Benchley/Weinberger Elementary School, Pershing Middle School and Patrick Henry High School. Her volunteer duties at each of these organizations included:

• Governance Board member for Pershing Middle School;
• Treasurer for the Benchely PTA for approximately eight years;
• Auditor, Vice President, and executive board member of the PTA;
• Volunteer for Halloween Happening (a large community event); 
• Room mom, directory organizer, and volunteer coordinator; 
• Fund-raising for Grad Night at Patrick Henry; and
• Treasurer of the foundation for Pershing Middle School.

 

Having served as a competitive team manager, treasurer, registrar, and coordinator for team fund-raising, Shelly Griswold is uniquely qualified to lead our volunteers.  Our vision is to build a critical mass of volunteers and utilize their gifts and talents to the fullest extent possible. Shelly is the perfect person to rally these critical players.
