Marti Brower: Secretary

Marti Brower has been a San Diego resident since 1989, completing her Bachelors Degree in Liberal Studies and Teacher Credential at San Diego State University.  She worked as a teacher at the Elementary level for San Diego Unified School District for several years before taking a leave of absence to raise her 2 children. 
Marti has stayed heavily embedded in her community through several different channels.  She is the Director of the Art Corps program at Phoebe Hearst Elementary in Del Cerro, is a PTA board member, and has played a key role in teaching her two Girl Scout troops about being involved in their community.  They actively support programs such as Melody Makers, The Ronald McDonald House, Mama’s Kitchen, and Meals on Wheel.  Through their hard work and volunteering, her Junior troop just proudly earned their Bronze award. 
Marti has been involved with the local soccer community since 2002 from team mom at the recreational level to team manager at the competitive level. 
Her organizational skills and love for her community will be a great asset to the San Diego Spirit Soccer Board.  Her family is very excited to be a part of this innovative new idea in the soccer community.
