SD SPIRIT SOCCER

Jeff Katz: President

Jeff has 4 children who have all participated in local sports programs. He has been actively involved in youth sports for 23 years, having managed in San Carlos Little League for the past 18 seasons and Navajo Softball for 4 years.  He has been involved as a soccer coach in the recreation program for the past 15 years and has managed his daughter’s competitive team for the past 6 years.

As a long time resident of San Diego, Jeff Katz has been actively involved in this community for many years.  He maintains his architectural firm’s office in Del Cerro and has been involved in many community related activities, including donating architectural design services for the Lake Murray Comfort Station at the little league fields, as well as for the proposed Comfort Station at Pershing Middle School. He has developed plans for new softball dugouts at Patrick Henry High School and has previously designed a new baseball field at Lake Murray.

Jeff recently completed service as the co-chair for the 2008 Patrick Henry Grad Night Committee.  This successful venture attracted a record number of graduates (350 from a class of 450) for a wonderful, safe graduation evening of fun and entertainment.  The Grad Night Committee was able to raise over $55,000 dollars for this event – far exceeding the budget, which allowed them to donate over $10,000 back to the school in the name of the Class of 2008.
